Avantea is a laboratory of advanced technologies for biotechnology research and animal reproduction. The activity of this laboratory began in 1991 with Cesare Galli and Giovanna Lazzari. In 2008 it became Avantea Srl, inheriting all the skills and expertise built in about twenty years of activity and the know-how developed through years of research conducted in the biomedical and animal reproduction fields. Credibility and experience make Avantea a reliable and highly specialized center, which aims to find innovative solutions in the field of reproductive biotechnology for livestock breeding and biomedicine.
BioTalentum Ltd is an RTD research intensive SME established in 2005. BioTalentum is a leading technology provider in Central & Eastern Europe, working mostly on stem cell research and services, with a branch on H2020 project management and trainings. Scientific focus of BioTalentum is on medical and animal biotechnologies, recently specialized on stem cell research. The company’s mission is research and development of novel human cellular systems and animal models for biomedical research and drug testing, and to provide technical services for research teams and pharmaceutical industry.
The National Agriculture and Food Research Organization or NARO is the core institute in Japan for conducting research and development on agriculture and food. NARO overall mission is to contribute to the development of society through innovations in agriculture and food, by promoting pioneering and fundamental R&D. To this end, NARO conduct R&D to increase the productivity and safety of agriculture, and lessen production costs; and to promote new markets and future industries by developing value-added agricultural products, through incorporating market needs into respective products.
Chulalongkorn University (CU) was established in March 1917 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) and named after his father, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), who had laid the foundations for modern education in Thailand. Currently, CU is composed of 19 faculties, 23 colleges and research institutes with over 37,000 students, including 24,620 undergraduates and 10,530 postgraduates (7,990 in the Master’s Degree and 2,540 in the Doctoral Degree programs), and over 2,800 faculty members.
IMAGENE was founded as a result of a project developed via the collaboration between the laboratories of the universities of Bordeaux and the CNRS, with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers in molecular biology, genetics and chemistry. The IMAGENE team has designed and developed an original technology for the dry preservation of DNA at room temperature upon DNA extraction and encapsulation in a corrosion-proof metallic capsule. IMAGENE has developed a production facility and organization to obtain, preserve and protect genotypes of all human, animal and vegetal species.
